In the Que

Netflix is a wonderful thing. Here are some suggestions of a couple of things for both queuing as DVD, downloading the Digital Version from Blockbuster or Amazon or even if they actually go to an outlet area. So many ways and so little time.

I would like to encourage everyone to watch a small little foreign film, High Tension (Trailer Below). The name is accurate as it portrays a friend who chases a psycho who kidnaps her best friend after slaughtering her best friend's family. It's both intense and fun to watch. I was drawn in pretty quick. So if you happened to be board please check it out. Avenues of play: Netflix DVD Que and both Amazon.com and Blockbuster offers rent/buy digitally. It's definitely a great movie to watch, but one of the only movies where you can't talk about the end. I'd compare it to other movies with such awesome ending but I fear comparing it might give the ending a way.

What I can’t wait to see tonight.

Welcome to Thursday. It's another day of hour after hour entertainment and fun. This is why I have 2 DVR's and Video On Demand.

Community/Perfect Couple, Vampire Diaries, The Big Bang Theory 8pm/7pm Central

Nikita, Bones, Greys Anatomy, Royal Pains 9pm/8pm Central

Archer, 30 Rock/Outsourced, Fairly Legal 10pm/9pm Central

Don't forget Archer shows and encore from last week and repeats both during the next hour. NBC has 30 Rock/Outsourced and Perfect Couple on Hulu. Damn you for not having Community. USA through many companies is on Demand but also through Hulu just not the TV Stream Version.

Sherlock Holmes 2011 - It's quite awesome.

What I loved:
John Watson, quite clever and funny and puts up with someone who is well Holmes.

Sara, I don't mind they brought in a flame for John. Its a dynamic you get to watch. I don't think for a second Holmes is gay but the fact that anyone might be more interesting them him boggles his unstoppable mind. She's funny and also has John's ability to ignore Homles when he's just the way he is. Not to mention there being a 2nd date shows this girls got something.

The twist with Moriarty was great. Enough said.

I like the introduction of his brother. Holmesx2 but with a concept of the world around him that helped him get office I'm sure.
That cases were intriguing and very much awesome.

The realization that Holmes is quite insensitive, considering how smart he's supposed to be. But it's him it's a quirk and flaw that makes him seem, slappable. Not seeing the big picture sigh, it's what makes him, him I guess.

This is what actually made me appreciate Sally Donovan (Sgt on the force). Her not liking him was extremely justified in her own way. There was loyalty to her "Boyfriend?". She even tried to be nice (offer friendly advise) to John. Even the one thing I didn't like about her (Making John walk to a main road to get a cab) ended up being story driven.

What I didn't like:

The Ending: you get a WTF moment and everything. Season 2 can't come fast enough.

The fact that there were only 3- Hour and a half movies. I need more then that.

All and all, I take the bitter with the sweet. This show was beyond the awesome. I would settle for weekly with to be continued. Alas I can find no info on when it shall return. I will keep an eye out for it though.

Amazon has it on DVD/Blu-ray and Digital On Demand. It can be rented from Blockbuster but you might need to call your location or wait for the online order. I did get it from Amazon but couldn't stand that it doesn't have CC on it. They talk fast and it's British so little things I missed. I will probably get the DVD-Blu-ray but I'll wait for it to be on sale. It will happen I'm sure. Best Buy does some awesome studio sales and BBC I'm sure will be one of them.
